Pitirim Sorokin, Othmar Anderle, Benjamin Nelson, Vytauta Kavolis, Andrew Targowski are not just a few well-known names but are among those who have developed and chaired the International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations (ISCSC) for the past 60 years. The activity is crowned by this 50th ANNIVERSARY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE.

Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University is honored to partner with this prestigious international institution and together to organize one of the most important academic and cultural events that have taken place in recent years.

We consider this conference to be an opportunity to encourage new research in the field of comparative study of civilizations, to share and to develop new ideas and methods to address contemporary issues and to cover a wide range of disciplines. Do today's civilizations still function through its classical "tools": religion, culture, environment and infrastructure?

The topic of the International Conference is intertwined with the interests of the Romanian Academy, the Moldavian Academy, the Academy of Europe, Cornell University, John Hopkins SAIS, University of California - Berkeley, University of Illinois, University of Washington and other major academic institutions and universities.
